Wroclaw- The European Capital of Culture

Hi.
As I said in yesterdays post I will much more posts this months because of my long easter break. Today I would like to make the next post about my hometown and write a little about the European Capital of Culture because Wroclaw has begun it this year.




The European Capital of Culture is a city designated by the EU for a period of one calendar year during which it organises a series of cultural events with a strong European dimension. This year Wroclaw and San Sebastian, Spain have a pleasure to be the Capital of Culture. In this link you can see my last post about Wroclaw and popular places and in this post I would like to continue it.


City Hall

Piwnica Swidnicka

Piwnica Swidnicka is the oldest restaurant in Europe located in the city hall´s underground. The restaurant was opened in 1275.

Wroclaw´s Dwarfs
Wroclaw´s Dwarfs are small figurenes located on Wroclaw´s streets. There are over 300 dwarfs spread over the whole city.

Sky Tower
 Sky Tower is one of the highest skyscrapers in Poland with the high of 212 m (696ft) and 51 floors. On the 49th floor there is a viewpoint for turists. The building consists of offices, apartments, shopping mall and recreation complex. Below you will find some pics from the viewpoint.
