Festivals in Europe

Hi!
The season for huge festivals starts in a few days! Festival for many people are one of the best experience in their life. So for me! I will go to the Warsaw Orange Festival this years in about two weeks so I am really excited! Thus, I would like to show you some popular but also some amazing festivals this year in Europe. In this post I will show you festivals from the middle of May to the middle of July and then in the next post I will include festivals from the end of July to the middle of September.

1. Rock in Rio- Lisbon, Portugal (May 19-May 28)

Rock in Rio is a festival, which occurs in cities like Rio de Janeiro, Las Vegas, Madrid and Lisbon. This spring it will take place in Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. The genre of artist at Rock in Rio is mostly rock, pop, indie and heavy metal and it looks amazing. It is a really huge event. 2. Orange Warsaw Festival- Warsaw, Poland (June 3-June 4)

The OWF is one of the most popular music festivals in Poland. It takes place only a few minutes from the city centre. The first edition of festivals started in 2008 and it has brought many artist like Florence and the Machine, Beyonce or Linkin Park through these years. The genre is really various. For instance, pop, dance, rock or indie rock. This year artist that will perform are Skrillex, MØ, Tom Odell, Die Antwoord, Lana Del Rey, who does not have many concert this years so it is a good idea to see her in Warsaw! and many more cool artist. 3. Roskilde Festival- Roskilde, Denmark (June 25- July 2)

The biggest festival in Denmark bring thousands of music lovers to Roskilde. The city is located only 30 km from Copenhagen. On the festival there are many various artists. This year the list of performs is really long like before. You will see there Bring Me The Horizon, Grimes, Macklemore&Ryan Lewis, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many many more! Check out more here: http://www.roskilde-festival.dk

4. Open´er Festival- Gdynia, Poland (June 29- July 2)

The one of biggest festivals in Poland located in Gdynia, near the Baltic Sea. This area is really nice to relax on the beaches in Sopot and to see the amazing Gdansk afterwards. There are three stages on which many international artist will occur like Florence and the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Batille, Kygo, Pharrell Williams and many more. 5. Slottsfjell- Tonsberg, Norway (July 13-July 16)

This is one of the most spectacular festivals in Norway located 1,5 hour from Oslo. The festival brings many popular artist each year. This years there will perform Bring Me The Horizon, The 1975, Wiz Khalifa, Action Bronson and more. Check out more here: http://www.slottsfjell.no 

6. Positivus Festival- Salacgriva, Latvia (July 15- July 17)

This amazing festival is located 1,5 hours from Riga, the capital city of Latvia. It seems to be an incredible festival with so many various artist this year like Ellie Goulding, Iggy Pop, Air, Grimes, Years&Years and many more! Check out more here: https://www.positivusfestival.com/en/

Benalmadena- Southern Spain

Hi!
When I travelled to the Southern Spain I flown to Malaga and I stayed in Benalmadene and then I went to Gibraltar. You can read HERE my post from Gibraltar. Benalmadena is a small town located 12 km west from Malaga. Benalmadena is a really beautiful curort with an amazing marina and hotels. Thus, I would like to show you some pics from this city. Benalmadene is really nice place to stay and rest :)

Hey!

After my journey to Mallorca I have flown to Malaga. But I stayed in Benalmadena for like two days. I came there almost at midnight and I had only one day to see Benalmadena and Gibraltar because I had the plane back to Norway on the next day in the morning. So on my only one day I went to see a little the city and then I went to Gibraltar. It was my dream to go to Gibraltar someday since I saw this place one the picture for the first time some years ago. Luckily, this dream came true quite fast. I also made a vlog from Gibraltar and Benalmadena, which you can watch on my YouTube channel HERE. 

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located on the end of the Iberian Peninsula. It is located near the Spanish border with La Linea. The characteristic place on Gibraltar is Rock of Gibraltar. You can get to Gibraltar from Malaga by the freeway no. AP-7, which takes 1,5 hour to get there and it costs about 15€, but you can also take the road A-7, which is free and it is located along the coast so the views are amazing. I toke the freeway to Gibraltar and the A-7 road back from Gibraltar.

The best way to cross the border to Gibraltar is go there by walk if you like long trips. If you prefer sightseeing by car you can cross it with your car but you may face a big queue there and you have to pay for it. Also, you will not see the spectacular starting or landing of the plane. I was lucky to see the British Airways landing there when I was crossing the border to Gibraltar and departing of 

Crossing the border on foot is much better than by the car. It is just a few minutes by walking from the car park, which is located along the coast of La Linea. But, remember! You can park only on the area where the blue line is painted! 

Main Street

When you will cross the border you should go all the time straight to find the main square and the Main Street. 

Continuing the trip on the Main St, you will go out of it, near by the  Trafalgar Cemetery and by going through on the Red Sands Rd, you will find the lift to the Rock of Gibraltar. 

I really recommend to go also to the Botanic Garden, which is located near the cable cat station. It is very beautiful! The fauna and flora is amazing there too! If you like the long trips or even if you do not. Forget the cable car! You should take a trip around the mountain. You will spare some money (10,75£ or 12,75£) on the cable car and go on the unforgettable journey around the mountain, which starts in the Alameda Botanic Garden.

If the weather is really good so you can see the Rif Mountains in Morocco and that is absolutely amazing because you can see Africa from there and the feeling is like on the edge of Europe haha :p

When you will go out of the garden so you have to go to the Engineer Rd, which will take you to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. You can also go the by car. 

It cost 0,50£ and it took for me about 2 hours  but the women in the information said that it can take about 3 hours for those who are going normally not fast.

On the top of the Rock you will meet lovely apes. They are the only  species of monkeys on the European continent. The monkeys are friendly and want to make the contact with people. But you have to be careful because they would stole your food or some other things like bags. Also, you cannot feed them! The baby apes really like to play with people!

Palma de Mallorca

In this post I would like to show you some pics from Palma, the main city in Mallorca. 

PS: This is the last post from Mallorca and the next will be my trip to Gibraltar!

Palma is the largest city located on the Balearic Islands. The population of Palma is 401,270. There are located many shops, cafes, restaurants, churches and lovely streets in Palma. The city is very impressive and looks cute inside the old town.
